Name a seat in Northlight’s new theatre!

Northlight’s 280+ seat theatre will have approximately 260 seats that can be “named,” meaning you can include a personalized nameplate on the seat-arm.  Read through the questions and answers below, and proceed to name your seat!

  • Your contribution will go directly toward Northlight’s Next Act, the campaign to build a new theatre in downtown Evanston!

  • Pricing is $5,000 , $2500, $1500 per seat, depending on seat location. (See diagram below.) Gifts made to name a seat are unrelated to ticket and subscription purchases and do not guarantee seating for events.

  • Yes – your gift is 100% tax deductible!

  • Your seat dedication will be in place for a minimum of 10 years with the option to renew should a seat need to be replaced.

  • While we can’t wait to see your name in the theatre, we are unable to guarantee that you will sit in your named seat during performances. If requested, the Box Office will make efforts to place you in your named seat. 

  • All inscriptions will be engraved and appear on a plaque affixed to one of the seat’s armrests. 

  • Inscriptions can be made in honor or in memory, and can be up to 4 lines of text, with each line not exceeding 15 characters including letters, symbols, and spaces. Northlight reserves the right to refuse inscriptions that contain language deemed unfit for our public.

  • Yes, we will take seat requests on a first come first serve basis! To inquire about specific seat availability, please email Abigail Kanes at akanes@northlight.org.

Orders placed by July 27, 2026 will have bricks installed late fall. Orders placed after that time will be installed at a later date.
